Compound eyes sample the garden as ommatidia (R1–R6 / R7 UV / R8); L1/L2 are ON/OFF; T4/T5 see motion parallax and loom; HS/VS are wide-field. Photoreceptors are not force-fed RGB frames. Clock cells are not force-fed daylight (only l-LNv CRY). Body motion is MN-driven only — limp when pools are quiet. Shade is a perch. The hedge bounce redirects — never punishes.
